At Barossa Guitar the focus is not on a "one size fits all" teaching method, but on tailoring lessons to achieve the best learning outcome for the individual student.
Barossa Guitar offers professional tuition with a range of instruments including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide guitar, bass guitar, drums, mandolin, ukulele, banjo and dobro. Darryl has more than 30 years experience as both a professional musician and professional tutor, including more than 16 years as a guitar tutor at the Barossa Music Centre. He welcomes students of all ages from young children to young at heart seniors, the only per-requisite is a desire to learn and have fun with music.
Lessons are individually tailored to each student and their music interests. Beginners of all ages enjoy expert tuition designed to complement school based music programs, learn advanced instrument skills, begin a professional music career or simply for personal pleasure and enjoyment.
Advanced musicians can improve and build on their skills and technique and learn improvisation. As an accomplished musician, Darryl has the expertise to bring advanced students to higher levels of technical ability and creative expression. Some of Darryl's students have also gone on to teach music themselves.
Darryl also offers his students professional advice on instruments and equipment, as well as advice and guidance with songwriting, recording and performing live, based on years of experience in recording and in the local live music scene.
